Great opportunity for law students to gain hands-on practical experience! Looking for someone to assist a disabled attorney with all aspects involved in a solo practice. Candidate will assist attorney with a variety of office tasks including but not limited to: writing emails, organizing folders, note taking, answering phones, and drafting documents at the attorney's direction. There will also be frequent opportunities to accompany attorney to court. This position involves extensive client contact so professionalism is a must. Depending on candidate's interests and skill set, there may be opportunities for a variety of legal research projects. Requirements: Must know how to use a computer and be familiar with Microsoft office. Successful candidates must be willing to learn how to use a scanner, copier, and have good problem solving skills. Writing is a large component of the job so the ability to write sentences with good grammar and syntax is required.This is a great opportunity to learn more about Family Law, Special Education Law & Advocacy, and Real Estate Law.
